Math Tuition

- Helping Students Make Sense of Maths
Maths Tuition That Builds Understanding
Does your child find Maths a struggle, or understand a topic one day and have forgotten it by the next? At MaxOut Tutoring, we work through these problems with them, one-to -one. We want students to understand why a method works, remember it afterwards and feel sure of themselves when they use it.

- Understanding the Subject, Not Just Memorising Answers
Making Maths Easier to Get to Grips With
It’s easy to get fed up with Maths when the basics haven’t clicked. If a student finds fractions hard, percentages and ratios usually cause trouble later too. So we sort out those gaps first and make sure each step makes sense before moving on. We teach for mastery, so what students learn is still useful after the next test or exam is over.
What We Cover
- Number: Calculations, number skills and place value
- Algebra: Expressions, equations and solving problems
- Shape, Space and Measures: geometry, measuring and related calculations
- Ratio and Proportion: ratios, percentages and proportional reasoning
- Statistics and Probability: reading data and understanding chance
- Focus on calculus, theoretical mathematics, and algebraic proofs
01
Lessons Built Around the Student
We find out what each student already knows and where they’re stuck, so lessons go straight to the topics that matter.
02
Understanding Each Step
We explain how a method works and why, rather than getting students to learn steps off by heart without knowing what they mean.
03
Practice That Builds Knowledge
Students get time to work through questions, go back to the hard topics and try out what they’ve learnt.
04
A Better Attitude Towards Maths
When a topic that used to confuse them starts to make sense, students begin to trust their own ability. That’s the confidence we’re aiming for.
05
Preparing for Exams and Beyond
We help students build up their knowledge and get ready for assessments, but we care more about understanding that stays with them after exam day.

- A Clear Approach to Better Maths Understanding
Building Knowledge One Step at a Time
01
Find Out What Needs Work
We work out which topics your child finds hard and check whether there are gaps in what they understood earlier on.
02
Get the Basics Right
We go over the main ideas first, before moving on to harder questions. That way students can see how the different Maths topics fit together.
03
Practise Until It Makes Sense
Students work through questions and use the methods they’ve learnt. If a topic still isn’t sticking, we go back to it until it does.
04
Develop Lasting Understanding
We want students to remember what they learn and use it outside the classroom. So we build up knowledge they can rely on in later lessons, in assessments and in daily life.
Any student having trouble understanding Maths, struggling with particular topics or wanting to have more knowledge about it could benefit from additional Maths tuition. We tutor students of any age, starting from Key Stage 2 and ending with Key Stage 5.
Yes, we will be able to devote time to areas which are most difficult for your child, including numbers, algebra, ratio and proportion, geometry, statistics and probability. Moreover, if there are difficulties due to previous concepts, we will also work on them.
Due to large groups, teachers cannot give their pupils individual attention in class. While tutoring, we are able to pay attention to the individual requirements of a student and concentrate on particular topics that he/she finds difficult.
Yes, GCSE Maths is among the areas we tutor. The course comprises number, algebra, shape, space and measures, ratio and proportion and statistics and probability. We focus on understanding each of these during our tuition.
Yes, we teach up to Key Stage 5, which includes A-Level. A-Level Mathematics deals with topics such as differentiation, integration and coordinate geometry, and can be followed by university degree programs like Engineering, Economics and Science.
We follow a mastery program. It means that instead of learning something only to pass an exam, the student has to fully understand the concept. They will get opportunities to practice, revise challenging topics and build a knowledge base for the future.
Yes, the parent is a very important participant of his/her child's education process, as they can maintain a good academic routine outside lessons.
